Essay 6: A Basic Primer for the Democratic Movement Author's Note: This primer is meant to be an independent stand-alone statement; consequently there is some repetition of earlier stated themes and quotations. Did anyone correctly predict what America and the American people would have to go through in order to reach the position we now have achieved in world affairs? We started out as a mere blot on the east coast of what was referred to as the "New World." That was hundreds of years ago. Initially the powers of Europe fought each other to determine property rights in the New World. Colonialism was serious business. Eventually England gained dominance here in America and from that point on, the American people were subject to the English king and parliament. The American Revolution threw off the yoke of English dominance. The American people formed a new and different type of government. It was based on the belief that people had "certain inalienable rights" as stated in the American Declaration of Independence, and that the people could and should determine their own mode of governance. That was a very revolutionary concept and one which many people thought would not work. How is it that America has grown so large and strong from such a dubious beginning? How is it that we overcame all of the numerous and powerful obstacles to emerge from the pages of history as the most powerful nation on earth? Many people attribute it to "the grace of God" or that God had somehow chosen us to fulfill a great work of some kind. This last idea lacks clarity and needs to be defined, and if there is work God wants us to do in this world, then what is that work? God chose the American people to be the leaders of the democratic world movement. The fact that He began the democratic world movement here in our country is evidence of that. The democratic world movement is the gradual progress of the human race toward freedom, on a country by country basis. It consists of all the nations presently democratic plus democratists living in nations not yet democratic. They are all part of a single ongoing political and social phenomenon now more than 235 years old. Today there are more than 130 nations that elect their leaders through universal suffrage. That is an enormous change in how the nations of the world are governed compared with past history. Why have so many nations become democratic? Because the plan that God has for the human race called for that to happen just as His plan called for America to begin the democratic world movement. He wanted democracy to move forward in the world, country by country. Why has God favored democratists in their struggles against anti-democratists? Because anti-democratists have tried, and are still trying, to take over the world. That's what the Nazis tried to do. That's what the Communists tried to do. That's what Islamic radicals are trying to do. But His plan for the human race does not include that ever happening. So what did God do? Obviously He would have to design His plan so as to prevent the enemies of freedom from controlling the world. But how was He going to do that? He would have to develop a counterforce to prevent His enemies from gaining control of all that He created. Democracy and the democratic world movement was and still is God's answer to those who continually tried and are still trying to usurp His kingship of the human race. Both democracy and the democratic world movement are a very important part of God's plan for humanity. Democracy was His idea to begin with. It was He who "endowed" us all with inalienable rights as it says in the American Declaration of Independence. It was He that created all persons with equal rights. Only by His doing that was democracy possible. He was simply exercising His right to direct the course of human history when He established democracy and the democratic world movement. God embedded the democratic principle of equal rights in the American Declaration of Independence for a very specific reason - to bring about the spread of democracy throughout the world. Lincoln said about the principle of equal rights: "... it was of no practical use in our separation from Great Britain; and it was placed in the Declaration not for that, but for future use." To date God's role in history has been neglected. History teachers are not allowed to teach history from the spiritual viewpoint. That is a settled issue, but that is no excuse for others not doing so. Not understanding the spiritual origin and purpose of democracy prevents one from becoming an effective democratist. More attention should be directed to the fact that both Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln said that eventually democracy and freedom would spread to the entire human race. Jefferson said: "... the flames kindled on the Fourth of July 1776, have spread over too much of the globe to be extinguished by the feeble engines of despotism; on the contrary, they will consume those engines and all who work them." Abraham Lincoln said: "Of our political revolution of '76 we are all justly proud...in it was the germ which has agitated and still is to grow and expand into the universal liberty of mankind." ~ February 22, 1842 and in speaking of the importance of equal rights: "This is a most valuable, a most sacred right - a right which we hope and believe is to liberate the world." It will come as a surprise to many people to learn that Lucifer is massively involved in anti-democratic organizations especially those that aspire to control the entire human race. Here is what the leader of one of the world's largest religions has said: " We see this power, the force of the red dragon [1] brought into existence once again in the great dictatorships of the last century: the Nazi dictatorship and the dictatorship of Stalin." He continues, "today too, the dragon exists in new and different ways."[2] Lucifer infiltrates anti-democratic world movements that have world wide aspirations so he can use them to achieve his goal of destroying democracy and the democratic world movement. He infiltrates them, and then he asserts his will through them. Today his war against us is being waged by his minions who intend to replace democracy with their own version of Islamic law. Lucifer is working 24/7 to get his criminal allies in power. That's because when his minions rule, then he rules. Then when his minions mobilize and are in position he comes at us through them. That has been his method of operation over the years. Lucifer's plan has always been to replace God as the ruler of the human race. To sit upon the throne of God and rule all humanity is his goal of goals. But democracy and the democratic world movement prevent him from doing that. The primary purpose of the democratic world movement is to bring about the defeat of Lucifer, that is the reason God founded our movement. Instead of anti-democratists moving forward and taking over the world country by country, God's plan calls for democracy to move forward country by country, thereby eventually achieving the goal He set for us. God's plan not only calls for the eventual freedom of the human race but it also calls for Lucifer's eventual banishment. God never intended that Lucifer would be among us for all eternity. Lucifer is aware of that and that is why he is fighting so hard to destroy God's plan. If he can do that then he avoids having to go back from whence he came and having to remain there for all eternity. That is his ultimate destiny. Both Jefferson and Lincoln believed firmly that the entire human race would eventually be free, and they believed that the spread of democracy throughout the world would bring that about. For their prediction to come true, Lucifer would have to have been defeated in his attempts to rule the world. Only then would it be possible for people to come to believe in the likelihood of Lucifer's banishment. The good news is that Lucifer has been defeated in his attempts to conquer the world. He no longer has the power to enslave the human race. He will have the power to injure the people of the world if his minions gain control of deliverable atomic bombs, but his present day minions cannot reverse the territorial gains made by the democratic world movement. No longer can he bring together his criminal allies in large and powerful multi-national military coalitions to destroy us as he has tried to do, particularly in the last century. He has lost his long fought battle to conquer the world. Believers know and believe that Almighty God has never intended that Lucifer would remain among us for all eternity. Lucifer can only be gotten rid of by an act of God. Such an act will come after Lucifer has been defeated in his attempts to achieve his primary goal and before his present day minions can gain control of deliverable atomic bombs and inflict serious damage on the civilian populations of democratic nations. We are now at that point in history. The democratic world movement has at last brought about the historical conditions for Lucifer's banishment to actually take place. International warfare, terrorism, devastation and destruction will come to an end when "the red dragon" leaves us. This will occur soon. The democratic world movement has reached its goal - which is to render Lucifer incapable of conquering the world. We have done that. We have reached the goal set for us by Almighty God. Now it is God's turn to act and He will. God's plan for the human race goes beyond the banishment of Lucifer. The human race is moving gradually towards a wholly new and different mode of existence that God has planned for us. Lucifer's banishment makes it possible for us to move farther along the path to that goal. [1] Apocalypse 12:7-9 Satan is referred to as "the dragon."
