Author's Reminder: Essay 3: Our Opponents Represent God's Enemy, Not God It is generally acknowledged by the people of almost all faiths throughout the world that there are two primary spiritual powers: Almighty God and Satan. Our present day opponents, Islamic radicals and various terrorist groups refer to America as "the Great Satan," and they continually call on God to support their attacks on us. Evidently they also agree that there are two primary spiritual powers involved in this "spiritual struggle", even though they fail to understand its true nature. God initiated democracy and Satan is trying to destroy it. That struggle has been going on for several hundred years. Our opponents claim God favors their side in the "spiritual struggle" but it cannot be true that God favors anti-democratists because He is the initiator and guiding force of the democratic world movement. It was His idea to "endow" all persons with equal rights, as stated in our Declaration of Independence. Our most fundamental belief is that the principle of equal rights is the basic principle of democracy and that principle was given to us by Almighty God. That is what our Declaration says. "Endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights" and again the principle is restated in the phrase "all men are created equal." But our opponents who claim they are God's representatives do not honor or act in accord with the principle of equal rights, which God has bestowed on the entire human race. They seek to establish a social order that is dictated by a code of laws that renders that principle inoperative. Those who do not respect a principle established by God do not respect God. Those who seek to destroy that principle and the way of life based on it are acting against the will of God. Yet still our opponents claim to represent the Almighty. If we uphold the democratic principle that He authored, then who stands with those who would destroy it? Lucifer of course. And how do we account for the confusion in their minds? Again - Lucifer. He beclouds their minds and leads them astray. False teachings are his means of gathering recruits. He works 24/7 to persuade people to do his will and unfortunately the net of lies that he casts often catches the unwary. That has always been his modus operandi. When democracy comes to power in any nation, anti-democratists are driven from power. Lucifer always stands with anti-democratists and he has continually demonstrated the ability to manipulate them into making war on the democratic world movement. Our movement expanded enormously in the twentieth century and now includes more than 120 nations that elect their leaders by universal suffrage. He makes war on democracy because he has long recognized that the democratic world movement is gradually putting him and his criminal cohorts out of business. Lucifer has made the downfall of America his main target since he recognizes that we are the leaders of the democratic world movement. He tried to destroy us in World War II. Then he tried to destroy us by helping Communism to expand in the world during the Cold War. His efforts to establish anti-democratists in power caused the invasion of both South Korea and South Vietnam and it is now the cause of the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. He continually attacks us through his minions. He comes at us through them. al Qaeda, the Taliban, and other terrorists who operate in "new and different ways" have replaced Lucifer's earlier cohorts yet they share the same goals as their predecessors; the permanent destruction of democracy and putting in place their own dictatorial regime. They are his warriors. They are the agents of Lucifer. Nearly seventy years ago his minions goose-stepped in close formation down the Champs-Elysées in a demonstration of enormous military power. Today they no longer have such enormous military power. Today their leaders are hiding in the caves on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. They still have the capability to do harm to the population of democratic countries but they no longer have the power to reverse the tide of democracy. The democratic world movement has engulfed Lucifer. His ability to have his minions take over the countries of this world is gone. He has been defeated by the democratic world movement, which of course, is why God established democracy in the first place. Now that Lucifer has lost his struggle to take over the world does God plan to allow him to continue to function here among us? Having brought him to heel, so to speak, does God plan to allow him to be among us for all eternity? It has always been part of God's plan for the human race that at some point in history the wars would stop, the cruelty and the viciousness would be no more and the human race would at last have genuine lasting peace. Isn't that what the fight to defeat Lucifer has been leading up to? Next: Essay 4: What is the Position of God in All This? » |
