Essay 1: Why God Established Democracy

In World War II and again in the Cold War, the Axis powers and then the Communist world movement made attempts to conquer and destroy democracy in the world. Democracy had been established in America more than one hundred fifty years earlier. That was the beginning of the democratic world movement, which is the gradual progress of the human race toward freedom on a country by country basis. It was the democratic world movement that stopped both those attempts at world conquest.

The democratic world movement, which God established in America and whose growth in the world He encouraged, was His means of preventing Lucifer and his minions from conquering the world, and it still is.

Lucifer used his influence on the leadership of both the Nazi and Communist parties and helped bring both those organizations to power. Then he manipulated Adolph Hitler and Josef Stalin and their followers to help him achieve his own objective of world conquest. While they pursued goals they mistakenly considered desirable they unknowingly were helping Lucifer to reach his own goal of world domination.

It is often said that our struggle with those who wish to destroy democracy and the democratic way of life is a spiritual struggle. In the spiritual world there are two preeminent powers, Almighty God and Lucifer, but they do not engage each other directly. The struggle takes place through human forces. Whether or not Lucifer's forces recognize they are pursuing his interests is immaterial; the fact remains his goal and their goal is the same. They are his minions knowingly or unknowingly.

Lucifer has worked for many years attempting to gain control of the world through his criminal allies. Lucifer's objective is to rule the entire human race, every country in the world, through them. When his minions rule he rules.

When Hitler and Stalin and their fellow thugs were in control in any country then Lucifer asserted his will through them and that explains the "terror and violence" used again and again by some of the worst criminals the world has ever known.

As democracy moved forward over the years it pushed Lucifer and his anti-democratic cronies backward, out of power in country after country. That was because God never intended to let them take over the world. Defeat after defeat and when Lucifer's minions are defeated Lucifer is defeated.

The reason God established and encouraged the growth of democracy and the resultant democratic world movement was because He needed a permanent ongoing power to defeat the continuing efforts of Lucifer and his various cohorts to rule over the human race. That is what the spread of democracy has done. That is what God intended it to do.
